Vegas Drift, VD23 – 11/18/2012

Going to mostly write something here, mainly because it was a wacky day.

First off, it was awesome to drift it finally. I am now catching on as I am doing so much better and I can feel it and it shows.  I was having so much fun but on the down side I was having weird as hell issues that day, first I over filled the power steering fluid I guess because it busted out of the filler can.  So about lunch time is when it really happened, I initiated the drift and then I lost all power as soon as I clutch kicked.  From there it failed to start, I could not get it started as I was not getting any spark from the coil at all. Replaced the coil but it took like 3 hours to get a new coil due to my brother took a bit to get there and then we had to run to get his wife from work.  So by the time I returned, installed the new ignition coil and it still would not turn over.  As the event was ending, I decided to call for a tow because this problem just has to be escalated to figure out the problem.

The next day I was able to find the issue inside the distributor as the sensor blew up inside. Once I replaced that sensor I was able to get her started again. Overall, I had fun but it sucks that I missed out most of the day due to simple car related maintenance issues.

My political view for over 20 years now…

First, lets get over the belief that anarchy mean chaos. Anarchy simply refers to the notion that no-government is the best form of governance. Chaos comes when people run around without rules or consequences. Anarchy for me, simply refers to a more primitive ideology, self-governance.

For millions of years our ancestors have survived and evolved without an established political system. The only system that was ever taken seriously was that of the family unit and later on evolved the idolation of some form of higher power. Later on leaders used the higher power ‘card’ to manipulate people into worshiping them. They essentially became the gods on earth, and thus were indisputable. And this is where life became complicated. Now we have created this vast complex governing system that really does more harm than good.

Anarchy could mean something very different for any two people. You’ll never get the same response from any die hard anarchist. But so what, you’ll never get the same the same answer about god from any two like minded believers either (unless it’s some scripted verse they’ve been made to rehearse).

Points To Consider

  • We are the only species in the animal kingdom who believe we need to be governed by a higher power.
  • We have been indoctrinated by religion to believe that we are inherently evil without authority.
  • We are lead to believe that we need to be taught right from wrong.
  • Laws rarely stops anyone from committing crimes. They only prevent perpetrators from later confessing.
  • At the end of the day it’s what other people think of you that counts.

Job… status…arg!

A new rant for the work place… or status that is.

One reason why I hate contract jobs is because it’s not permanent. I strive to have something permanent, not temporary mainly because I need something to relay upon not hope that I will have something at the end of the contract.

So why did I choose this temp job?

Because the company called lvnet had some major issues in which I have offered to fix, in return all I wanted was more money so I can move out and hold my own ground again and do personal life things as in needed with money. 8.25 /hour is just not going to cut it, no matter how much you look at it. Granted it was stable but for the money it wasn’t worth the headache it caused especially the verbal abuse I would also receive where I felt like professionalism has flew out the door and because of the other employee’s who didn’t do their job  was treated as well as me like if we are children. A year back and even though lvnet has changed in the clientele the internal network is still the same old story and same old mess. But still fun times though, I had fun it’s like going back to my grassroots in life and taking that step back in life. Unfortunately I need more money, and the verbal abuse is what is getting to me on a daily basis and I can’t handle / have that anymore. It is what it is, no one is at fault in essence but for 8.25 hour I rather flip burgers at McDonalds for that abuse.

So moving forward what do I have planned?

I still want to move forward with RavenPC, but more and more I see computer repair companies in Las Vegas I get discouraged as it was a big rage that seems to be a hustle job now. That is not how I envisioned Raven PC to be. So over all I have been thinking of either how am I going to keep surviving after this temp job is done. It is very cloudy of what is going to happen next and it’s one of my pet peeves is not knowing career wise of what will happen next.  I have promises that seem to be a failure from someone in Oregon, I have no real ideas in Sequim Washington of what I can do or where to go from there, it seems cool to relocate there and start fresh. But regardless how much I hate the strip, I actually like the environment that caesar’s entertainment / harrah’s has.  I would like to continue with them not in an contract base way either. SO I don’t know really on the direction I want to go.

I also have in mind that in Oregon I have to deal with Michael McGee not a big deal but I am sure will be a threat to him especially when I put a restraining order against him and his death threats towards me.  Washington I will have not a single clue of what to do or where to really go for work there. Las Vegas It’s hard to say, lvnet is not the way I want to go they can’t afford me and I see why and how now. Caesar’s seems to be a cool place I’d like to continue with them or maybe teksystems can keep me going with different contract jobs and unemployment raping in the middle down time in between contracts. So it’s difficult to say but it seems to be alright.

Drifting.. Why do I like it?

All my life I never had a chance to take up a sport or do something that is fun, yeah Karate was fun but I have never really been about competition.  Anything competition wise bores me as I am not a competitive person.

I guess you can say after my divorce in 2009 and after moving to Oregon, I needed to get my mind off of things and focus on new tings in Life.  Drifting started for me in 2010 with Touge NW, These diverse and friendliest people alive gave me a new meaning in life. Moving up to Oregon was both good and bad, as my business plan and idea got put aside due and then major control / drama with another. Technically I lived off of my unemployment living up in Oregon but at least I got to have some fun. I learned the term drifting with a few DriftX events that took place in Hoodoo resort in Sister’s Oregon.   Ever since then my life has been changed, granted I attempted so many times with my firebird while auto-crossing and had over 1000 ride-a-longs with other talented drivers.

It is like I have found something in life to actually set my mind on and for once relax but that wasn’t all in Oregon that got me to relax. It’s like I had my chance to open my mind first handed on how to run and operate a business and I know with out me the business has crashed. I got to experience a different life for once and a point in my life I can sit down and figure out me for myself.  Granted I miss Oregon but I don’t let it bother me, I still every day live my life to the fullest and understanding myself every day as the days go by.

Drift has became a new focus in life for me as for a hobby,  most I want to take it is Pro-Am status as a goal and doing so having fun. It’s all about having fun, and it’s giving myself something I never had before and that is giving me something as I spent most of my life giving and never giving myself but to know what to give your self can also be a challenge it does take soul searching of what makes “fun” for you.
