Updates…

I have attended Vegas Pro-Am RD1 this weekend, it was pretty badass. Vegas Drift scene is nothing like the small TougeNW – T-COR scene back in the day, but hey it’s still a scene that is going on strong. I’ve finally ordered the rest of my parts for my transmission swap so fairlady silvia will be a 5 speed just as intended to be, I’ll be uploading the new gallery here shortly this week when I get the extra time.

Little History of my S12

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2962290/1987-nissan-200sx

SO I guess Juan was a bit right about this car after all, but the sad part is;
In the end it was pieced back together just to sell it. Sad, but hey it’s in good hands now anyways.

Awesome find of google “87 nissan 200sx las vegas” as this came up as the first link lol.

Friday night Midnight Mayham

On 02/10/2012 I’ve taken Fairlady Silvia to Midnight Mayham where I’ve participated in the 1/4 mile drag racing. Not into the grudge I just wanted to see what she will do in it’s current condition.

My first run

My second run

My third run

I’ve did 19,20,20 second. But hey, my reaction time was good.
I actually thought I’d do worst because the auto transmission doesn’t like to shift at certain points.

Raven’s Possible Issues and Solutions update.

So I’ve figured out a possible issue with Raven. Turns out and if my theory is correct 2x $15 parts from rock auto with a transmission fluid & filter change and she will be racing once again.??I got to replace the junk??axle??Michael McGee bought from the internet just to save $5 dollars on a special part but with this in mind I can get my Strano Springs and Koni’s like I wanted to not Blistiens.
Much more to dig into, I do need to replace the power steering pully, and the??serpentine??belt as it’s getting grooves from the pully. ??Lots to do with Raven, it kinda feels good that I will be able to do everything right and no be forced. ??Well at least I hope my theory is correct, if not I’ll have to wait for the 5 speed swap to happen. To make it happen I still have to order $300 in OEM parts from GM Direct. Clutch, Flywheel, Shifter, and then I have to find a center console for the 5spd.

The weekend of S12 Fun!

The night was Friday, the 27th. I was supposed to go to LVMS to run at Midnight Mayham but instead after work I turn the key and it goes click. I do my normal thing and pulled the pos. Battery Cable and placed it back on and click it does it again. I did this for about 5 times and noticed that there is something wrong. ??So I decided to pull the Alarm from under the seat then try again at this point, no power to system anymore. Even tho I’ve secured everything I am not getting power to system. ??Trying everything possible, after 2 hours of troubleshooting I said F it and called Quality Quick Tow. ??$85 later and 3 – 4 hours after work I finally got her home.

This is the old Battery cable connector, it’s old & crusty and will not give a solid connection to the battery post. So from there I’ve stripped the positive cable and the other side of the connector. Picked up a universal connector that looked like it will work for what I was going to do. I had to drill / modify the??original??fitting so that it can fit over the screw portion of the universal fitting.

So This is how I fixed it, now it gets a solid connection to the system. But that wasn’t it I still got the click dead system reset battery syndrome.I thought it might be the relay since most of the plastics has turned to dust in my hands. But no After repairing the wiring with it, it still held a charge. ??With the battery being at a 100%

So I’ve pulled this starter, and had them test it to be sure and yep it was fried! Replaced it so it fixed that issue, next was the??mysterious??power issue. There was a negative wire next to the battery a 16 guage wire.
